What is a medialuna?

Medialunas are a traditional Argentine pastry similar in shape to a croissant but with a sweeter, richer flavor. Like croissants, they are made with layers of buttery dough to create the signature flaky texture. One of the key differences between medialunas and croissants is the syrup that is brushed on top of medialunas after they are baked. This adds a touch of sweetness and gives the medialunas a glossy, caramelized finish that is irresistible.
